Easy Lasagne

Serves: 6Prep time: 20 MinsCook time: 60 Miuns

INGREDIENTS

1 onion, finely diced
1 carrot, finely grated
1 stalk celery, finely diced
2 cloves of garlic, sliced

500g lean beef mince
2 x 400g Denny Bolognaise Pasta Sauce

3 x 200g Denny Classic White Pour-Over Sauce

9 lasagne sheets

1 cup / 80g grated mozzarella cheese
(Preferably - do not buy pre grated mozzarella. It is more expensive per kilo and is dusted with starch so it cannot stick together and therefore does not melt as nicely as freshly grated)

Olive oil, for cooking
Salt and pepper, to taste

Special equipment:
Fits a 28cm x 20cm baking dish well

METHOD

Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large saucepan.
Add onion, carrot, celery and garlic, season lightly.
Cook until tender.

Add beef mince, season lightly and cook until brown.

Stir in the Denny Bolognaise Pasta Sauce.
Bring to a simmer.
Simmer until the sauce has thickened and the flavour has developed.

Preheat oven to 180ºC, fan on.

To assemble the lasagne:
Just with your eye, divide the bolognaise sauce into quarters, as you’ll need 4 layers of it.
Begin with one quarter of the sauce and spread all over the bottom of the baking dish.
Next place 3 lasagne sheets on top of the sauce.
Using one pouch of Denny Classic White Pour-Over Sauce per layer, squeeze out and spread the white sauce over the pasta.
Next layer bolognaise, 3 sheets of lasagne and white sauce again.
Then layer bolognaise, 3 sheets of lasagne and the last quarter of the bolognaise.
Finally add the last pouch of white sauce on top of the bolognese.
Finish with the grated mozzarella.

Transfer lasagne to the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes until deeply golden brown and bubbling.

Allow lasagne to stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Slice into six and enjoy with family and friends!
