CRISPY AIR-FRYER CAULIFLOWER BITES
Serves: 4Prep time: 20 minsCook time: 30 minsINGREDIENTS
For the cauliflower:
• 1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite-size florets
• Olive oil spray
For the batter:
• ½ cup cake flour
• ½ cup cornflour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp salt
• ± ¾ cup cold water (adjust as needed for a smooth, thick batter)
To finish:
• 1 sachet (400g) Denny Sweet & Sour Cook-In Sauce
• Sesame seeds and spring onion, for garnish (optional)
METHOD
Preheat the air-fryer to 200°C.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cornflour, baking powder and salt.
Gradually whisk in cold water until you get a smooth, thick pancake-like batter.
Let the batter rest while you prepare the cauliflower.
Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, coating well.
Shake off excess and place into air-fryer basket (ideally lined with disposable air-fryer basket liners).
Arrange florets in a single layer (cook in batches if needed).
Airfry for 12–15 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crisp.
When all the air-fried florets are cooked, add them back to the basket and add the Denny Sweet and Sour Cook-In Sauce. Air-fry for another 5 minutes or until warmed through.
Scatter with sesame seeds and spring onion and enjoy!
